Just LOVIN' this new Hostess set...MORNING MEADOW. <br />
<br />
Inked with Primrose Petals and stamped on Naturals White cardstock, I found that my flowers came out shaded.... which was a happy surprise! I did the "kissing" technique on the bird, by inking up the stamp with Midnight Muse and touching it to the flower branch. That removed ink from the bird and left the flower branch impression. What do you think?<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSy6vZRJquov-VEAJmVSZPVmBpRMhijSpH_q5nbUoP0tNNwp-QIaXfhlKSNLTK1l4-L1JIeXvCjSCT309waHlPtxEa3BcJ9jhpx1b_iaJObCUOxobN80C_WsXaZAnUOpIrsaP_XCCGsNg/s1600/Pop+Up+Morning+Meadow+(640x500).jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="250" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSy6vZRJquov-VEAJmVSZPVmBpRMhijSpH_q5nbUoP0tNNwp-QIaXfhlKSNLTK1l4-L1JIeXvCjSCT309waHlPtxEa3BcJ9jhpx1b_iaJObCUOxobN80C_WsXaZAnUOpIrsaP_XCCGsNg/s320/Pop+Up+Morning+Meadow+(640x500).jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The card is Midnight Muse, the insert, Gumball Green, the tag and leaves are Pistachio Pudding...sounds good enough to eat! The flowers were punched out with the new Pansy Punch, the leaves, with the Bird Punch. The tag was done with the Chalk Talk Framelits. The words come from REALLY GOOD GREETINGS, and Birthday Greetings from APOTHECARY ART. Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon and a Cute Clip finish off the card...all from SU!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM4R-l8_0lo6qwB8qjI38WIRqTvUoQgrLp95L5cVrhYpY8yaphBdS7uv0MXmUVSg6Qn_5kyL_nKGXTgNS9DtdhA9RE5S0qlVBOiiFmorpSk60cz1WIGYSv23ngLQ1gwVDIPQKO75tg1is/s1600/Pop+Up+Morning+Meadow+opened.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="307" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiM4R-l8_0lo6qwB8qjI38WIRqTvUoQgrLp95L5cVrhYpY8yaphBdS7uv0MXmUVSg6Qn_5kyL_nKGXTgNS9DtdhA9RE5S0qlVBOiiFmorpSk60cz1WIGYSv23ngLQ1gwVDIPQKO75tg1is/s320/Pop+Up+Morning+Meadow+opened.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
The pop up insert is EASY with the Zig Zag Pop Up Die from Sixxiz.<br />
<br />
If you would like to try your own, fold a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Gumball Green, and cut two slits, about 3/8" wide, on the fold on either side at an angle...the longest cut about an inch. Fold the slits up and away making sure they square off at the fold. Push them out to the center of the card to make an "easel" for your flowers. They will be at an angle, not facing straight ahead. You can use SU!'s exclusive Edgelits on the ends of the pop up insert (and on the front of the card)...ADORNING ACCENTS would be perfect!<br />
<br />
You can find all the SU! products used here under PRODUCTS at <a href="http://www.djouellette.stampinup.net/">www.djouellette.stampinup.net</a> Check out the Hostess sets under PRODUCTS>Catalog>pages 200-205. <br />

Pop Ups are such FUN...to make and to get!<br />

The Butterfly Punch is so versatile...a FUN punch. This punch is retiring and will no longer be available when the NEW SU! Catalog comes out on June 1st. Enjoy the following samples:<br />

<img alt="" height="388" src="http://www.stampinup.net/uploads/fckeditor/310/531/Image/Butterfly%20Wishes.jpg" style="cursor: move;" unselectable="on" width="300" /> Made with the cut outs of the butterfly and scraps!<br />

<img alt="" height="397" src="http://www.stampinup.net/uploads/fckeditor/310/531/Image/hello%20baby%20butterfly.jpg" width="300" /> Another sample from Dawn that I tweaked by using the Word Window Punch and changed the layout. Add a comment if you would like a TIP on doing the face!<br />

I have made some adjustments. Instead of scoring directly on the card, I have used a 2" x 5 1/5" strip of Rich Razzleberry Designer Paper, folded. Place this on the Diagonal Plate, long side across, and using a strip of scrap placed at 3/4" on top of the strip, score at 1/8, 1 1/8, 2 1/8, 3 1/8, 4 1/8. Then place your strip at 1/2", and score at 3/8, 1 3/8, 2 3/8, 3 3/8, 4 3/8. Remove and cut on the score lines. Fold the ends down, as shown in sample, and glue to a stamped card. I used Baroque Motifs in Rich Razzleberry. Stamping off once on the swirl will give a better contrast to the darker flower design. Pop up the flower and add a Basic Pearl accent. You're done! PS...It takes a little practice, but...you can punch this flower out with the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br />
