Mixed Media ...with Epic Day DSP

Had FUN playing with my Stampin' Up! products and some ModgePodge.

Created a paper vase and put it on a shelf and enjoyed making my bouquet!  Used the Pansy, Blossom, and the Boho Blossoms Punches, and the Floral Fusion and Little Leaves Sizzlets. I started with the Epic Day Designer Series Paper...with grunge and all...adding a few of my own.  Added a smashed bottle cap on the Sizzlet Doily, buttons on the flowers, washi tape, and a brad in the corner.

Hope you like how this came out too!...enough to try one of your OWN.

CHEVRONS...oh what FUN!

Found this wonderful tutorial by Deb Valder http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04myDV7Qons&list=TLQcaEuGpQD9o on YouTube. Couldn't help but make some cards!

This one.....and THIS one!  Thanks Deb.....

I used the Epic Day This and That Designer Paper....and added a little Gorgeous Grunge to the first one. I DO like that stamp set. If you are interested, I will be making these at one of my STAMP NITES. Let me know what you think, and if you would like to join us.

Having FUN with Pop Ups...and Morning Meadow, a new Hostess Set from Stampin' Up!

Just LOVIN' this new Hostess set...MORNING MEADOW.

Inked with Primrose Petals and stamped on Naturals White cardstock, I found that my flowers came out shaded.... which was a happy surprise! I did the "kissing" technique on the bird, by inking up the stamp with Midnight Muse and touching it to the flower branch. That removed ink from the bird and left the flower branch impression. What do you think?

The card is Midnight Muse, the insert, Gumball Green, the tag and leaves are Pistachio Pudding...sounds good enough to eat! The flowers were punched out with the new Pansy Punch, the leaves, with the Bird Punch. The tag was done with the Chalk Talk Framelits. The words come from REALLY GOOD GREETINGS, and Birthday Greetings from APOTHECARY ART. Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon and a Cute Clip finish off the card...all from SU!

The pop up insert is EASY with the Zig Zag Pop Up Die from Sixxiz.

If  you would like to try your own, fold a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Gumball Green, and cut two slits, about 3/8" wide, on the fold on either side at an angle...the longest cut about an inch. Fold the slits up and away making sure they square off at the fold. Push them out to the center of the card to make an "easel" for your flowers. They will be at an angle, not facing straight ahead. You can use SU!'s exclusive Edgelits on the ends of the pop up insert (and on the front of the card)...ADORNING ACCENTS would be perfect!

You can find all the SU! products used here under PRODUCTS at www.djouellette.stampinup.net  Check out the Hostess sets under PRODUCTS>Catalog>pages 200-205.

Pop Ups are such FUN...to make and to get!

Gorgeous Grunge and Flower Shop....NEW from SU!

Saturday, July 27, 2013

After viewing the SU! 2013 Convention Opening Session on YouTube...and seeing the GREAT samples made, I had to PLAY.  Yes, this set is a FUN set...Gorgeous Grunge. I did miss my Itty Bitty Backgrounds...and that goes back a ways. This set makes it easy to add those splatters and just the right touch of grunge to my cards. What do you think?....

This is a Gate Fold card that I designed for our next Stamp Nite. One of the Gals requested this fold.... I try to please!  Next, you see another gate fold, opened.

This card is the same, except what FUN I had adding the Black Neutrals Designer Paper to the side. It matches the Flower from Flower Shop! And I DO love adding just a touch of GOLD embossing powder.... thanks PAM. I used the new Chalk Talk Framelits for my tag, embossed with a new folder from the Holiday Catalog.

Thank You SU!

.....and Gals, Don't forget to stop by the next STAMP NITE to pick up the New Holiday Catalog! .....Check my EVENTS at www.djouellette.stampinup.net,  send me an email...or comment below.

Circle and Ribbon Pop Up!

Playing with something NEW always makes me happy...and this one brings a SMILE.  It's real easy with the Circle and Ribbon Pop Up from Sizzix. And I used SU!s NEW Really Good Greetings, Chalk Talk Framelits, and those CUTE Clips!
Something old, but a favorite, is Not Quite Navy Cardstock...and the Pastels. Pastels with the blender pen color beautifully! By the way, those are still available in the Clearance section of Shop Now at www.djouellette.stampinup.net.

I've also used Banner Greetings, a NEW Hostess Set, on the inside. This was a FUN card to make!  Coming up next time....a FLIP card.
